House of Tomorrow // Dutch and Fishtail Braids
Taylor is a model from my wonderful home state, Colorado. I was so lucky to snag her and her wonderful modeling, hair and makeup skills for the day. Lucky for me while Morgan Newton was taking photos of myself, Taylor was amazing enough to prepping her hair with a mini-crimp for me! You would never guess it by the photos but Taylor actually has very fine hair. Hence why we mini-crimped, it's a great way to add texture and instant volume especially with braiding! I started with sectioning Taylor's hair by utilizing a horizontal parting, separating her hair from ear to ear. Next I started in the top or front section and did a dutch braid grabbing hair from both sides. I continued the dutch braid only in the top section. Then I sectioned the bottom part of her hair into two and created two dutch fishtail braids. Then I used all three braids to create one braid! By playing with different textures in her hair (different braids and utilizing a mini-crimper) I was able to create a lot of volume and movement! I gently pulled apart each braid to create looseness and sprinkled in my trusty Unite Expanda Dust product!
Taylor is wearing the House of Tomorrow Hina strappy bandeau top and Mikala strappy scrunch bottoms! Every time I see a piece of House of Tomorrow swimwear I am always blown away by their attention to detail and the wonderful fabric they use! The scrunch bottoms fit Taylor's booty perfectly and the top has a great amount of support build in. I can't wait to see what House of Tomorrow comes up with in this next season, I hear it's going to be amazing!
Wildfox is so great at creating amazing sunglasses with odd shapes. When I received these sunnies I was a bit worried they would be too big but they look amazing on Taylor's face shape! She sure knows how to rock everything we've put on her.
